Military personnel are exposed to exceptional amounts of death. They are similarly asked to be okay with killing other human-beings.

Our majority society avoids discussions of natural deaths and that within its own bounds prescribes life sentences and death penalties for killing other human-beings.

Is the duality this creates irreconcilable?
